WhatsApp - unable to connect to iphone from Windows 11 desktop

HI People,

I have an iphone 15 plus and want to connect WhatsApp on my iPhone to WhatsApp on my desktop PC. However, whenever I try via the QR code presented on WhatsApp, on my PC, my iphone tries to connect - but I get an error message that basically says "unable to synchronise, try again later". Of course I do and same thing. This has gone on for 10 days now, ever since my iPhone.

I also tried using my phone number to synch, but again same issue. Begining to wonder, if iPhone is more trouble than it is worth - I used to be on Android an no issues there. Please help!
