This is my first time signing in on these help forums. I saw a post that I wanted to add information to (Siri no longer recognizing groupchat names for texting) to hopefully better the chances of it being solved. Then after noticing the reply button was “greyed out” I look at other threads with the same thing; both the big reply button on the main post and the reply button on any comment are all greyed out. Is there something I need to do with my new account before I can reply in threads?

Thanks!

Welcome aboard!

Threads locked for inactivity or old age have this banner at the top:

As few original posters (OP) return weeks or months later to look for new answers, trying to mine up old dead posts is a waste of time. I know, I've been doing this for over 20 years.

Finding those ancient threads is all too common when coming here from search engine. Search engines either do not show the date of a thread, or make dates hard to spot.

The better plan for providing speedy and effective help to others in this forum:

1—Bookmark this forum site map: Site Map - Apple Community

2—Using the site map, identify the topic areas where you feel you have the most to contribute

3—In identified topic areas, work the newest posts, generally the first two pagers of any give topic list.

That way, your time is well spent and people needing help now will see your answers.
