Need a Receipt for Court Case

Because of Florida "Stand Your Ground" law, I need a receipt of trying to locate in Find My or other means a missing or stolen iPhone of mine. The situation was untenable, and I did not expect to get the phone returned, nor could I retrieve it myself even if located. Time was of the essence and I wiped the missing IPhone immediately so as not to compromise my data --the most important part of dealing with the aftermath of an injurious and dangerous event. Anyone have a way to document that I tried to locate the phone even as it was not possible as I had wiped it first? I went to Apple store first and later used the online chat to help me out and it was basically an "unavailable" service. My downfall was not trying to locate the iPhone first which would tell me what I already knew! All suggestions appreciated.
