Apple Pay/Wallet not working after iOS 17.6.1 Software Update!

One day after the installation of the iOS 17.6.1, I wanted to add a card to my Wallet. It was not possible and a message appeared explaining that it is not possible to install my pass in the Passbook for the moment. Why?

iPhone 14, iOS 17

Make sure the KLM app and any others are updated to the latest versions. Once updated please do a forced restart of your iPhone.

A forced restart is more than just turning the device off and back on. If you’re not familiar with the procedure, please review the steps in the Apple Support article I linked below.

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Once your iPhone restarts, try adding your pass again.

Actually the problem occurs with two different cards/card providers which used to work fine before iOS 17.6.

When I try from the Wallet app, in both cases the error message is (in French) "Impossible to add the card" with button "Add card later".

When I try from the providers apps, I get in one case "Card not added" with button "Configure later", and in the other case "Impossible to add card" with button "Configure later"--I also get an e-mail from the card provider saying "for security reasons".

Again, both these cards/providers caused no problem before iOS 17.6. This is very confusing (and a serious problem).

Thanks for your help.

Martin
