Apple Wallet not releasing Starbucks Gift Card funds

I combined 3 gift cards onto one inside the Starbucks app, then transferred to “Apple Wallet”, value at the time was 200$, I used it a few times and forgot it was stored in the “Apple Wallet, well like 7 yrs later I stumbled on the card (with current balance of $154.53 buried in apple wallet and when I tried to use this at the Starbucks store the serial number / scanner reader whatever at Starbucks reads it as a card that doesn’t exist. When I call Starbucks they say they cannot help and that it’s an Apple issue. I am very frustrated, in an avid Apple user and Starbucks user and know I can’t be the only one this is happening to, and it’s BS that much money just “poof oops sorry we don’t know where your money went”?! Please advise.
