iPhone 15
This issue is genuinely ******* me off. I’ve spent way too much money with Apple for my devices to keep having unresolved issues. Ever since I updated to iOS 18, my AirPod pro 2’s disconnect multiple times a day when I’m using them. And of course customer service is no help because they just want me to follow a series of steps that I have already done 100 times.
I went to Apple Genius Bar because of the problem. They completely replaced my Airpods 2 Pro. It did not help! I've been struggling with this weird bug since September! It's just annoying! Why is Apple so slow to fix this bug?
I have the following data:
iPhone 15 Pro
iOS 18.1
Airpods Pro 2 USB C
Model: A3047
Firmware: 7B21
I was having problems with AirPods not working with Siri and dictation and it started after iOS 18 update. After I turned off Personalized Spatial Audio in Settings, it fixed the problem. iPhone Settings/AirPod Pro/Personalized Spatial Audio and then deselect Personalized Spatial Audio that is highlighted.
Definitely a VERY annoying bug. I have two airpods gen 2, and both are experiencing the same issue. It even takes a while to get them connected sometimes because, for some reason, the Apple quality isn't there anymore. I hope they're fixing this problem anytime soon, because, we might as well just move over to a different carrier.
My AirPods Maxes will not reconnect. I get them connected and everything is good, until I take them off. Then they won’t reconnect, I have to forget the device, and reconnect them, which renders my $600 headphones totally useless. Completely unacceptable that a glitch in iOS 18 caused this problem and no one at Apple cares.
It’s so annoying! Since latest update anytime my screen is locked it automatically disconnects my AirPods and I have tried all the troubleshooting advice and it was no help! Apple products are pricy enough that issues like this should not be a thing and if it happens should be a priority to fix it! I can’t just have my phone open all day
My airpods pro have an issue. I play COD mobile and when I play with my mike one just after 10 minutes after each game my mike stops working while the other person is audible to me. I have to reconnect my AirPods and the issue goes off for another 10 minutes, it's so annoying happened only after the st**** update. My calls and face times aren't an issue but happens now. Didn't happened before the update

It happens much more when I use apple services like Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, FaceTime, etc.
and the weird thing is my APP1 works perfectly with my m1 MacBook Pro.
and the weirdest thing is my MacBook have so much connection issues with my Sony Wireless home theater.
Every thing is messed up with iOS 18.
2nd generation airpods pro, with iOS 18.2, airpods pro started to be interrupted in all phone calls. I didn't have this problem before, I corresponded with live support and they told me to reset the airpods every time. When there was no solution, they said to send it to warranty, but there is no warranty in my city and my final exams are approaching and as of today, my warranty has expired. Please someone help me with the solution
Can someone from Apple please explain what changed in IOS 18 with respect to bluetooth connections. The entire family each has their own AppleID. They have for over a decade. The moment IOS 18 came out it was like a snowball fight of AirPods joining everyone's devices. It is absolutely maddening! We have 6 people in our family and like 2 dozen various iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple TVs. This is completely un-livable. Madness.
Again, WHAT CHANGED in IOS18. We never had this problem before.
For those that don't find disabling Vocal Shortcuts to resolve this issue (until the bug is fixed), try disabling Sound Recognition in Settings > Accessibility > (Hearing) > Sound Recognition
When I dd this, my various AirPods stopped pausing/stopping audio playback after any other sound was played on my iPhone (including the top-of-the-hour chime). This bug was introduced as early as iOS 18.0.
My AirPods continue to crash at random times throughout the day, mostly during my commute. Does anyone else have this problem? AirPods sometimes left/right or both at the same time will completely crash/disconnect from phone and attempt to reconnect
AirPods Pro GEN two with lightning here 👋
Model Number: A2698
Version: 7B21
Case: 71.8.0
left earbud disconnects every 38 to 45 seconds, and takes 10 seconds to reconnect. Music continues to play on the right earbud during the disconnect process on the left earbud.
The issue is more likely to happen when noise cancellation, transparency mode, conversation awareness, and spatial audio with head tracking enabled.
I’ve tried each setting individually with a multitude of different ways, setting it up, and still the issue seems to persist.
To note, it worsens when you’re on a phone call with somebody, the left earbud seems to drop as usual with this issue, but the right earbud also begins to drop.
It’s a little bit rare for the right earbud to, but it only happens on phone/FaceTime calls. The right earbud does not drop when listening to music. When the earbuds drop, there is no disconnect sound that plays alongside it, it’s very rare for it to play the disconnect sound when this issue goes on.
Sometimes you do hear the disconnect sound, but it’s very rare and unlikely from my case. This goes the same way for reconnecting, I rarely hear the reconnect sound, but it does play 15% of the time.
For disconnecting and reconnecting you only hear the sounds 15 to 20% of the time.
This issue has only started happening on iOS 18.1 with the release back in September, I’ve never had an issue before then and have been keeping my AirPods in pristine condition since it is no longer under AppleCare warranty I’ve been treating it like a newborn baby since the day I bought it.
I was hoping that iOS 18.1.2 with the release of the hearing assistance would help fix this issue, but I thought wrong.
The sound quality has not diminished, the product is in perfect condition, the software seems to be the culprit.
Apple, if you’re reading this, please please take into consideration these complaints, and test run new software update updates for AirPods and AirPod pros as many individuals, including I, are having this issue.
What version of ios?
Thank you so much! This fixed them.
tqvm..solved
