Found this on another thread How to Stop Battery Draining on iPhone After a Recent IOS Update and it's been a game changer, battery which was reducing 20 to 30% in 1 hour of basic usage now reduces only 15%. I will update you on which adjustment helped alot as I am currently testing on it as I don't want to disable some features so will update soon here.

Lots of people including myself want to switch to android iPhones are not cheap and should not have to deal with things like this one spending good money on my phone that always has problemsAnd battery dying faster than it took to charge The money we spend on these phones they should be lasting us at least A day and a half to a day

Same here. It’s happening on all of my devices- iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch. On my Apple Watch I went from using 50% batter life a day from it dying by 9 PM after a full charge over night. Cancelled my Apple Watch data plan and not getting a new one. This was happening years ago. They had a class action lawsuit related to battery drain in the past.

I have an iPhone 15 pro, since iOS 18 update, I wake up with 100% charge around 6AM, by 8.30AM with very light use , checking emails for example and some light social media, its down to 72%. I have to plug it back in to charge

I'm literally charging my phone every chance I get now, I'm charging it atleast 3 times a day otherwise if I'm outside I'll be stranded with dead battery (happened to me twice already) when I never had to charge more than once before. I reported this to apple support and they came back with usual BS. This makes me so furious, apple is constantly dropping the ball releasing worse iOS performance every release.

My iPhone 13 battery lasts maybe 2 hours now. It won’t charge to 100% anymore and when it does charge, it takes 10 hours to get in the 90’s. My phone is CONSTANTLY on the charger which is VERY inconvenient for a mother who is constantly driving kids around. When I try to charge, it tells me liquid in port when there is actually no liquid so I have to emergency override to even get my phone to CHARGE….. seriously regretting coming back to Apple. An update should not do this to a phone I have had since July.

Guys it got better a week after the update. Iphone 13. After the update I went from 1+ days of battery to half a day. But today it’s as if a switch turned. The battery is back to normal, if not better. I didn’t believe the people who said reformatting etc. takes some time but apparently they are correct? I was also about to downgrade the battery was so terrible. People who are thinking about this maybe wait a bit.

Same. Of course this happens every time after an iOS release but this is the most extreme case experience I’ve had. Phone is not even charging at times -meaning while it is plugged into charger the battery is going down not up and then phone overheats and stops charging. Apple should give you a choice to allow a long iOS upgrade overnight and get all these recalibration issues out of the way before using the phone again if that’s possible. it usually seems to go away after a while but your phone is always left degraded. This is by far my worst experience over countless upgrades.

The iOS 18 update always or as I have noticed drain my battery faster than I have ever seen on any Apple device. Apple, please do something about this because it’s not getting any funny and It’s not good if you go out on a good day and you have your device go off in the middle of an emergency.
