Video Playback on iOS 18 is Broken - Video size is small and timeline ends early when setting video to full frame or zooming in. Serious bug.

I know this is a fairly new concept, but Apple should consider Beta Testing before releasing a new product.

Always love the way folks on here demand that people be fired, lose their livelihoods and possibly send their families into poverty because of what? Added points for invoking the departed Mr. Jobs, and the absolute certainty that you, who never met him, would know what he wanted.

I can hear what people are saying clear as a bell, but what's the point of that? I don't work for Apple, I'm just a user like yourself and the best way to communicate with Apple is via the Feedback mechanism. As I said earlier in this thread Apple do promise to read everything posted there, they don't promise to read anything here.

Apple is very clear on the Feedback page that they don't respond to feedback so I'm not sure why you were expecting they would.

Don't see Apple jumping on this post, nor the post we started reference videos not transferring to computer with any properties nor thumbnail image.

This is a user-to-user forum. Apple employee's primary role is to make sure we all obey the rules. Their posting participation is limited to providing resources for health or safety issue. So, no, you will not see responses from them here on this issue.

No one here has received any help or response from APPLE. They have not even acknowledged the various issues brought forth here. Is APPLE just ignoring these issues?

Including transferred videos to windows 10/11 computers have no properties and no thumbnails.

We are... Daily. That is getting no where, and seems they are ignoring all feedback. >>>> iPhone 14 ios 18 videos no longer transfer with properties nor thumbnail. We have hundreds of iPhone videos, all with properties and thumbnails. But starting around late Sept and early Oct. all videos transferred to our various computers W10/11, no longer have properties nor thumbnail images. They do all play however. We have hundreds of iPhone videos transferred to our computers over many years. All have properties and thumbnail images. Now, the videos have neither. Wondering if the last ios 18 updates did something to videos.

Neither is the following issue fixed nor corrected............... iPhone 14 .mov videos transferred to Windows computer no longer have a thumbnail image or data. But they play. This occurred after late September. All .mov videos prior to early Oct. 9th have data and thumbnail images. This is occurring on our two iPhone 14's, and multiple Windows 10 computers. We have changed nothing, including the process of transferring the videos from the iPhone to the Windows computer. The last video with data, and with a thumbnail is 09/26. The first video in Oct 9th, on to present day, has no thumbnail, not data (length, frame, etc.). I spoke with Apple support, did screen shots, and ended up with no answer or solution.

Apple does extensive beta testing. In fact, you could have even taken part in it.

since installing ios18 YouTube background play is pausing and stopping everytime I wake the phone up or turn off screen. also CarPlay gets disconnected randomly.

Are you presenting on an Apple TV? If yes rotate your phone to landscape mode.

I have this same issue.

You can still zoom and scrub. Just don’t hit the pause button.

The old way was better, but at least this works until Apple fixes it.
