When can I use the airpods pro hearing test?

When will I be able to use the hearing test that has already been announced with my AirPods Pro 2, and will it be compatible with my iOS 18 iPhone 12?

iPhone 12, iOS 17

Yes, I agree with @NeilShapiro that it might be a good idea to perform the ear tip test further down in AirPods Pro 2 settings ("Ear Tip Fit Test") before attempting to use the hearing test section. If you're asking how to find the hearing test, I think the most consistent way is to connect to your AirPods Pro 2 through the Bluetooth area of Settings, then tap the circled "i" next to "AirPods Pro 2" when they appear there. You may also find it necessary to disconnect other devices or computers that are connected to the AirPods Pro 2. That's what I had to do.

I didn't have to consider the ear tip fit because I've had my AirPods Pro 2 for over 2 years, and fought the battle for finding properly fitting tips quite some time ago. The AirPods Pro 2 require a seal between the outside and middle ear, a requirement enforced by no other hearing aids I'm aware of, so the ear tip test is definitely an important part of the process. Good luck.
