Why does my iPad Pro keep asking for Apple Pay Setup?

WHY does this thing come up and DEMAND I set up Apple Pay when I have absolutely no reason to.

Then add to that that it keeps telling me that iCloud is not set up when I declined it in the setup and gives me an error notification because I have not done so. I have never and will never have an icloud account.

Everything is run by the operating system. Settings is an app.So, one question answered. Let's see if we can get the next question answered: What are you doing when this happens?

It is just like it keeps wanting to backup the total iPad Pro but cannot sync properly. This is another problem in iOS 18 (iPad Pro). And they is absolutely no way to turn off either one of them. I would call them bugs but thinking about it that would not be true but would seems more like an incompleted program profile so similar.

That sounds like a completely different issue. Let's stick to one problem at a time.

THE MESSAGE DENOTES IT IS ABOUT AND IPAD PRO.

I understand that you are asking about an iPad. There is no need to shout at me. Please stop doing that.

You said, "WHY does this thing come up and DEMAND I set up Apple Pay. " That is the "thing" about which I was asking. So, what is it? In what app? What are you doing when it pops up?

And, could you possibly post a screenshot? It might make things much clearer.

Up to now, I have used the "System Settings" as Perameters for setting up the computer for its various function in the OS and not apps. At least that has been what I have been told for 30 years with my firs Mac (Presario).

I think there's some very serious auto-correct issues going on here that make this very unclear. Regardless, I thought the issue here was your iPad. So, I don't know what your various Macs have to do with anything. Let's set that aside.

Can we move on to the question: What are you doing when this message pops up?

Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing?

Lets see if I can start this whole mishmess over again.

I turn my computers off at night and then relog on each morning. As soon as I log on up pops the notice about that I need to COMPLETE the Apple Pay setting for it to be active.

This is a upper right hand notice that as soon as I do anything with the mouse it disappears.

Under the system setting there is a place to setup>Wallet & Apple Pay and that is where this notice is coming from.

I just checked AGAIN and there is no place to turn that particular parameter off with the only entries being a credit card number and mailing/shipping address.

Okay, you yelled at me earlier saying this was all about you iPad. Now, it's about a computer.

ApplePay is not required for any Apple device to be activated. I suggest that start the request to activate it and then cancel it a couple of steps in. That's often enough to get things like that to leave you alone. However, without more information, that's my best suggestion.

I'll ask one more time: Please post a screenshot.

If you can't do that, I don't think there's much I can help you.

Just for grins I just tried to turn off all switches undeer Wallett & Apple Pay but Apple Cash will not turn off because it cannot connect with Apple Pay which is not set up.

Checking the other perameters: shipping address, email and phone have been populated from other perameters.

I turned off: pay later, Rewards, compatible cards, and add orders to wallet.

I had to turn on my WiFi and not the Apple Cash is turned off.

Hope this does not show again but it still needs a toggle AT THE BEGINNING to turn it off or on.
