possible scam payment?

I tried to send money a couple of times to someone but I got text messages right after that it had been cancelled due to delay of acceptance. Is that real or did I get scammed ? The payments are still pending in my bank account

Thanks for the updated info.

Just going off of what was provided in the Support Article. I wasn't aware that it only applied to first time transfers:

When you have Manually Accept Payments enabled, to receive money sent to you, open the Messages conversation where you received the payment, tap Accept, and then follow the onscreen instructions. You have 7 days to accept the payment.

Send and receive money with Apple Cash - Apple Support

When you send an Apple Cash payment, the person will have 7 days to receive it. If it has not been received, it will automatically be refunded to you and will take an additional 1-3 business days before you will see it back in your account.

If you got a messages that it has been cancelled due to a delay of acceptance and it has not been 7 days, then I would suspect that to be a scam, especially if the message came from the person you sent the money too.

Here’s the section from the Terms & Conditions,

>>For a P2P Transfer funded in whole or in part from your Apple Cash Balance, you authorize the Bank to debit your Apple Cash Balance for the amount of the transfer that is funded from your Apple Cash Balance. Other Users are not required to accept money you send them via a P2P Transfer. If a designated recipient is not a User or has disabled the ability to automatically receive P2P Transfers and does not accept the P2P Transfer within seven days, or if the P2P Transfer cannot otherwise be completed for any other reason, the P2P Transfer will automatically be canceled and we will refund the amount of the transaction to your Apple Cash Balance and/or Supported Payment Card, as applicable.<<

It used to specifically state that the 7 day wait period was only the first time the User had a transfer and accepted it. Subsequent P2P transfers would be held for 5 days. I’ll make a few calls to see if it’s now 7 days all the time.
