Apple Wallet stopped working. Screen freezes

I have several cards registered in my Apple Wallet and I've been using them on physical stores and online. However a few days ago it suddenly stopped working. I can't get it back.


Here's what I observed:


  1. Apple Wallet does not get triggered when I put my iPhone on a touch pay device at grocery stores.
  2. When I click Apple Wallet icon, the screen becomes white and my cards don't show up.
  3. When I click Settings > my profile > Payment & Shipping, it freezes and crashes after a minute.
  4. When I click Settings > my profile > Subscriptions, it freezes and crashes after a minute.
  5. When I click Settings > my profile > Media & purchases > View account, it freezes and crashes after a minute.
  6. When I click Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay, it freezes and crashes after a minute.
  7. When I log in to my Apple account via a web browser(Google Chrome) on my laptop, I can only sign in via password. When I try to log in with passkey, it displays a QR code, and I read the code with my iPhone camera, and my phone freezes and never authorize my log in.

iPhone 11

iOS: 17.1.1

I described everything correctly. When I say Apple Wallet app, I'm tapping the wallet app icon. When I say Settings, I'm tapping settings gear icon. I'm describing my observations in those two apps, and I'm not mixing them up.


My main problem is that I cannot pay anything with Apple Wallet. However the reason why I also described my observations with Settings app is because I assume they are related to Apple Wallet being dysfunctional, and I thought it would be helpful. I hope this helps!
