Since updating to iOS 18.1 yesterday my aol mail account is no longer showing the following folders
recently deleted
junk
or any other folders
just inbox and rarely updates any mail . mail is set to fetch every 15 minutes.
this is frustrating.

After my update to IOS18.1.1 last night, no mail comes in to my iPhone or iPad. The mail contines to come into my laptop.
I want to acknowledge Oswaldo for solving my problem of mail not connecting while checking for new mail. My issue was with an IPad Pro running 18.1. I was plagued with not getting new mail for weeks. I followed Oswaldo’s suggestion of simply re-entering my password and now I get new mail immediately. Many thanks O!
I had issues with getting mail on my IPad Pro…but saw a suggestion from Oswaldo to re-type my password in settings mail account user name and password. It worked. Good luck to all who battle Apples software gremlins.
I have an iPad Pro and lost AOL email on 11/5 when I upgraded to 18.1. My iPhone still gets my mail. I tried reentering the password. No joy. Reset the App PW at AOL, no joy. No email on 2 accounts on the iPad and I can't see how to fix. I get a POSIX96 error. Upgraded to 18.1.1. No change
Setting push or fetch has nothing to do with the issues described in several posts.
I tried most of the 'fixes' mentioned, nothing helps, or it even made it worse, like losing my recently sent emails.

I contacted Apple support and had a nice chat.
I described my issues by copying my post, see above.
I was advised to await an answer from a senior adviser.
By email came the advice: please contact Apple support.
It is closed loops by design!
Same thing, Apple Mail stopped loading new emails after the 18.1 “Update.” Tried a lot of the obvious fixes before I dug down into the mail app settings and found a “You must accept the new Terms and Conditions” message. Once done, email works fine.
Why the genius coders at Apple can’t bring a message to the top of the Home Screen is beyond me. Maybe they haven’t told the AI that’s doing the work for them that the human users matter.
It seems one way to get through this issue is to set the New data on your email setup to Push with automatic downloading of emails
I have the same issue with the Mail app on iPhone and iPad, so frustrating!
Unfortunately not in my case.
I finally went to an ATT store. Raina simply deleted my account and I signed back in. Everything came back.
Small miracles happen?
Recent emails are being threaded again, spontaneously.
that is, received mail and answer become coupled, as before the ups-date.
@icloud account as well as in @t-online.
