Why can't I add songs to my Apple Music playlists?

I am having issues with my playlists. I am not able to add songs to my playlists and also when I edit a playlist it doesn't change oe show what I have edited, like the playlist name. I have to completely shut down the app.

Truly OVER apple music and all the changes it makes.

A few things to try. First close Music then hold down Option as you launch Music, select the Choose Library option, and explicitly reselect the library you want it to open. Will normally be ~/Music/Music/Music Library.musiclibrary. Second close Music again and this time hold down Option+Cmd as you launch Music to open the app in its safe mode which potentially does some housekeeping on the database. Lastly right-click on the .musiclibrary package while Music is closed and use Show Package Contents. If there are multiple .tmp files in there they should be deleted. You may need to use Command+Shift+. (period) to show hidden files.
