LED Bulbs on a Mac:
A. Use a Gaming Keyboard:
For safely, usage an external gaming keyboard that is compatible with your macOS version. I say "safety", because one my 2017, 15" MBP, I attached a Razer brand keyboard to it, and I had issues from then on out. Looking at the origial packaging it is Window's-only compatible.
B. Recommend this to Apple:
Do your Part: Inform Apple of your feedback. Apple wont get back to you directly, but the more feedback thy receive from its users, the more likely they will know what their customers prefer, and what features to include, in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of your ideas, if you don't provide them to them.
We would need to know the specific device(s) you're trying to connect to be able to offer much in the way of suggestions. But perhaps this will help:

Without any details as to what specifically you're trying to add and where things are going wrong, it's pretty much impossible to provide any additional assistance.
Regards.

I replied to the wrong post. Someone was posting about power issue with their Mac, and I’m not sure how it ended up here.
Seems to be a known limit of Home app on macOS, at least as far as macOS 15:

Sorry, TheLittles, but what does a gaming keyboard have to do with adding something to HomeKit? Did you replay to the wrong post? Or am I completely missing your point?
Thought so, but wasn't certain I just wasn't misunderstanding what you were suggesting. Cheers.
