Apply Apple card balance to AppleCare?

How do I use my Apple Gift Card balance to make AppleCare payments?

Despite my attempts to do so, I’ve been forced to accept an “Apple Gift Card” instead of having the value of a Mac Mini Pro M2 applied to the purchase of a Studio.

I’ve dealt with ≈ 5 different Apple advisors about applying the Card to the purchase of this device. Having lost that round, I then turned trying to have my AppleCar payments drawn from that balance. Again 3 different agents testified to this without giving details other than go to App Store.

Well, NO. No matter how I search nor how many attempts at the App store nor how many wiggles and jiggles I’ve done, it’s NO JOY. I did find a ‘help’ page (https://support.apple.com/en-us/118245) that noted that I could use the balance to pay for my iCloud bill. However, that statement gave no instructions nor links to do so.

Okay, I’m approaching anger here. Apple should not treat its long term customers this way.

So once again. How do I make my AppleCare payments draw from the Card balance? Based on what little I've found in my searches, it may be that Apple will not allow something so simple as apply the balance to the AppleCare bill. (Really Apple)

Oh and for those of you who shrug and say, "Well, just buy something." In the last month, I've laid out ≈$6,500 for my current set. Buy an iPhone case? Seriously?

So, even though you posted in Apple Card (MasterCard credit card) community, you’re having issues with an Apple Gift card. You’re using your own terms for things, which I understand, but confusing on my end, because I don’t know what an AppleCard bill is.

Do you currently have an Apple Care plan that you’ve purchased or are you trying to purchase one?

If you have a plan already did you purchase it or is it month to month payments?

Have you redeemed the Apple Gift card yet?

Ah, I see my mistake. I really had no clue that Apple had become a bank (Master Card), but then I noticed that 28% of their profit comes from 'Services.' Is it really a bank? Trying to clarify. I traded in a Mac Mini against a Studio display. The value of the Mini was supposed to have gone against the Display price. Instead the $410 credit (for a 6 month old fully loaded M2 Pro!) was credited to an Apple Gift Card. I have no need for any more Apple products. What I need is to have Apple deduct the monthly cost of my previous and on going AppleCare payments for an iPad and iPhone. As noted in my earlier post, I cannot find a way to do so.

I have not redeemed the Gift Card as I can't seem to figure out what that would give me. It appears that all it can be used for Apple gear though I've also been sent to the AppStore. I really am befuddled with this whole mess.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I guess I have to try calling Apple support but don't have the 'Financial' number and certainly haven't gotten decent service recently.

Thanks much
