Looking for a Printer Drive (and also ideally the ability to interface to the built-in scanner) for a HP MFP m479 Multi-Purpose Color Laser Jet.
The HP "Easy' set-up which is designed to provide the correct driver, does not Run, since it states that it no longer works in a Classic Environment.
The driver use to exist, but I can not locate it. (it may have been included in the MacOS).
Any thought where this can downloaded? Thank you

Do you have one of these exact models? If so, the printer would be an AirPrint model, meaning that it can be used without additional drivers. This should be OK with macOS 10.14 Mojave, too. AirPrint works with wireless (Wi-Fi) or wired (Ethernet) network connections. You may want to run a test with the printer connected by Ethernet cable to one of the LAN ports of your Wi-Fi router.
Otherwise, if you for some reason want or need to install printer drivers, and HP Easy Start does not allow you to do this, you could perhaps try HP Easy Admin instead:

If nothing else works, try a generic PCL or postscript printer driver in macOS:

A "Classic Environment" terminology suggests to me that you are using the now ancient Mac Classic operating system which predates Apple's OS X over 24 years ago. If that is true, there are no drivers. If you are using macOS Sequoia v15.*, then the following link adds support for it.
HP just released a driver update for this device on Nov 12, 2024. Click here to go to that device page at HP. Click on the Driver(1) entry on that page and find the Download. It adds support for macOS 15 (Sequoia), but may help you find a driver for Mojave (macOS 10.14). This device is not natively supported by Apple's built-in AirPrint service.
Trying to load an HP Drive for Mojave ( OS 10.14.6 ).
HP Software that has been 'updated' will not run in this version of OS.
Looking for the HP Laser Jet MFP M479 (also works on M478) that will work on Mojave.
HP use to make this available, But will No Longer make it available, and the support people at HP can only point to what the webpages current links to... Maybe some one has the Driver available? This is about a 5 year old printer,
but the real issue, is that HP will no longer allow the download of drives for Mojave ( OS 10.14.6 ).
Addendum
The printer manufacturer may provide extra software for setup, ink management, etc. For example, HP Smart for Desktop will require macOS 11 Big Sur or higher. If absolutely necessary, a workaround could be to use HP Smart with an iPhone/iPad instead for such purposes.
