Will I lose my Apple Care when changing my Apple Account?

Hi,

I am moving country and need to change my Apple ID to my new region. I understand that I need to cancel my subscriptions, however I have one for Apple Care which is valid for another 10 months and I don't won't to lose it as I will be coming back to my home country regularly and its quite helpful to have for peace of mind. Will I lose this if I change my ID to another country? Also, I assume the extra data on iCloud will be the same?

My understanding is if you have an AppleCare subscription and you change country, this is a problem. You have to cancel all subscriptions, thereby losing coverage. It's a reason I can think of for buying the single payment plan versus the subscription version. You may wish to contact Apple to double-check this. If you get a definitive reply, please post the answer here since I see this issue pop up occasionally and it might help others in a similar position.
