macOS 15.1.1 Internet connection issue

Immediately after upgrading to macOS 15.1.1 (from 15.1) the following network connection issue started.

WiFi connection #1, WPA2, 802.11ax, 5 GHz: Can connect to the wifi network but there's no Internet. Disabling the ESET Cyber Security v8.2.800.0 firewall allows Internet traffic again.

WiFi connection #2, WPA/WPA2, 802.11g, 2.4 GHz: Can connect to the wifi network and has Internet connection even with the ESET firewall enabled.

Clearly ESET Cyber Security v8.2.800.0 and something in 15.1.1 are not playing well. The ESET firewall logs show configd and DNSResponder are being blocked (when connected to wifi #1). I've not done the troubleshooting by creating rules to allow those to confirm that blocking these two items is the root of the problem. Regardless, what I don't understand is why this started with macOS 15.1.1 (the issue did not occur with 15.1) and why it only occurs on one network and not another. ESET is not being helpful with the matter and keeps deflecting to the user to create rules to allow traffic. 🙄

Thoughts?

ESET is extremely unnecessary. I'd remove it asap according to their instructions for removal. After doing so your connectivity problems will go away. No anti-virus software is needed in macOS. Occasionally malware can arise and the only app that really is recommended is Malwarebytes. No other clean up or optimizer apps like clean my mac are needed either. They more than not, end up causing more problems than they claim to fix.
