How do I connect a CD/DVD player to my MacBook Pro?
I want to add a cd/dvd disc player, but don’t know what to purchase

There are a number of external CD/DVD drives that will work with your Mac, including the Apple SuperDrive.
Those other drives are:
- LG GP65NB60 (only supports USB 2.0)
- ASUS ZenDrive U9M (comes with both USB-A & USB-C cables)
- Dell DW316 (comes with USB-A and you would need a USB-A to USB-C adapter in order to connect it to your Mac)
- Pioneer BDR-XD07B
