I updated my phone today 27/11/24 and I can no longer navigate normally - generally unresponsive and can’t swipe up to close apps?!

Please perform a forced restart. It does much more than just turning your device off and back on again. If you’re not familiar with the procedure, please follow the step by step instructions in the Apple Support article I linked below.

Sorry if you thought I was being rude. I explain the procedure 10 to 15 times a day. I think what you might be experiencing is a slight change in the interface due to an implementation of Apple Intelligence.
In order to swipe up on my iPhone Pro Max screen, I have to swipe up from the very bottom of the screen, swiping up and over the very bottom edge of the screen.
Thanks for replying. That was the first thing I tried but it doesn’t help. Ad its actually worse as I can’t navigate in lots of ways now :-(
What else have you done trying to resolve the issue that you haven’t disclosed, just so we can find a solution faster?
