iOS 18.1.1 Update Issues on iPhone

Help. HELP. Help. APPLE is non-responsive on problems with 18.1.1 Update. My calendar is not searchable. My voicemails are gone. My battery is heating up during charging. This has to be fixed. This is the worst of the worst updates. So many parts of the phone not working properly. APPLE - what are you doing? Leave the formatting alone. And to add to the problems - after the update - had over 30 calls come in from spammers and unknowns - How do we get APPLE to withdraw 18.1.1 and/or fix these problems?

Even at 81 years of age and about ten happy years of iPad and iPhone use, This latest update has me fuming and bewildered. My needs are simple. I email, i google, i am active on Facebook, on Message, in Italian and English, on a number of other Apps. Now I’m fighting to do simple things. Why are these perfectly spelled words all underlined? Why am i getting i when I want I? Why do apostrophes no longer appear? I’m sorry, Apple, but you are battering some of us with far too much. Most people neither want nor need these levels of “exras” (notice how it hasnt corrected either “extras” or put the apostrophe in hasnt”. What is going on. I’ve loved being with Apple - on phone and iPad, but this latest update is a mess and I’m going to have to re think (!) my allegience .

With the problems you are having with 18.1.1, I understand your frustration even though I haven’t experienced them, except the loss of apostrophes in conjunctions, I advise you not to move to Galaxy which my husband uses. Galaxy’s updates are even worse than Apple’s in craziness. On top of that, my caregiver who has a Galaxy cannot get a phone signal from inside our house or an internet signal from our wi-fi.

OK, iOS 18.1.1, was a disaster, but Apple has fixed this with iOS 8.2 update. You will need to charge your iPhone to 100% before you start the update. I had my iPhone connected to 240v power charging, while performing the update and 70% battery level still dropped to 30%. The update took 1.5 hours to complete on my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Check your storage first before you update to iOS 8.2. This is a massive update and will install around a extra 7gb of storage. I had some trouble with the iPhone not connecting to WiFi, but after several attempts I got it working. Some apps will need to be updated and I had to reinstall a banking app.

All is working good now and battery life has improved greatly on standby.

I just did the update 18.2 becareful doing it people, my phone seems to be okay but I have not accessed every app yet.

I’ve responded to 6+\- Facebook posts, a text message, checked emails, sent a reply and when I started this am I was 100%, now 3 hrs later only on phone for an hour my battery has drained to 59%.

It dropped 2% while posting this message. Previous to 18.2 update my phone lasted all day, even when listening to audiobooks and podcasts.

Not impressed.

I absolutely REFUSE to EVER return to a so called "Genius Bar". Never have I ever encountered a genius! Never have they ever rectified a situation with my phone. I have upgraded to 18.3 and I STILL cannot use my calendar in the way that it is to be used because it won't work properly. If I hit the "plus" button to add an event it either does nothing or it takes me to an appointment that has already been make and is already on the schedule. HELP!
