iOS 18.1.1 Update Issues on iPhone

I have exactly the same issue. I used to take a picture, click the send icon and send it via I message or WhatsApp, or even email... No I hit the send icon and it freezes or it just shut down the picture. Then everything is freezing. And I have to wait a few minutes before being able to reopen the picture, and send it. It usually works on the second or the third try... I have 50Go storage left and my phone now works as if I had 1 or 2 Go left... I turn it off every other day, I have storage, I am a moderate user, I didn't change the way I use my phone, but nothing is working properly... I have the last generation SE...

I am talking about that one. A lot of issues, very frustrating. But the main one is taking a picture with the iPhone camera and then send it via iMessage... both Apple products. The phone just freeze, impossible to do anything, or the picture turns down and then it takes time to be able to reopen it, and send it. It is like having no storage left while I still have 50Go free...

After updating to iOS 18.1.1 I could not connect with my network data provider for 2 days rendering my phone almost useless when not in range of wifi. I know others on the same network did not have any issues therefore ruling out any outage rationale. It has since reconnected but on an extremely sporadic basis without any reliability. Clearly there is some sort of bug that is interfering with the connection. PLEASE address this issue immediately!!!

18.1.1 made both my partner and I’s iPhones basically unusable we cannot send multiple photos. It will not pick up my email speaking with Apple representatives. They are clueless. Nothing seems to be repairing the issue. I’ve had an iPhone since they first came out, but this is kind of the last straw with their updates that are riddled with bugs. We are going onto a better company.

Yup that’s what they do. They asked me too to reset my phone to factory reset. Nope, I’m going to loose everything AGAIN cause I did that once in their recommendation. Either give me a phone and updates that doesn’t have issues.

iOS 18.2 is being released around the world today. Like any update or upgrade, do so at your own risk. However, multiple issues are being reported by users here, on Facebook, Instagram and Reddit. Your mileage may vary.

So no answers, advice or news ? 500 people just on this thread are having these problems. Since the horrific update I have problems with my notes app closing by itself, interface being slower , and about ten problems now with Instagram. No answers or advice?

ohh , and in GarageBand EVERY SINGLE ONE of the apple loops no longer work as intended, so thats completely broken too. Yeah apple have messed up big this time.

Maybe to get everyone to "get a better device" untill they update it into being a once expensive working device , but sadly will just be sentenced to being a brick of metal glass etc. thats by the by , i’m just frustrated.

Apple says it fixes bugs. People in this thread are saying the issues are bugs. I’ve frequently said, based on my experience, it likely to be the app that’s having issues. If you believe it’s bugs, this update likely fixes the majority. At least it did for me.

If you’re like me, some are issues are bugs, but most are related to apps not being updated. What apps am I talking about? Apps like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, TikTok and other social media platforms. Again, your mileage may vary.

My friend s iphone has shut down and wont respond to any actions is stuck on emergency page. Mine is slow to respond plus keeps freezing and generally not working properly battery power has dropped too. Whats going on? Its not good enough these phones cost alot of money and apple should be more respectful. My ipad keeps playing the songs when im doing something else. Wish i hadn’t downloaded 18.1

I too am suspecting that my iPhone 13 is acting up because of the update. After updating to iOS 18, my phone says "no service", and after trying to fix it, the Verizon rep said I would need to buy a new phone. Details below:

I email, i google, i am active on Facebook, on Message, in Italian and English, on a number of other Apps. Now I’m fighting to do simple things. Why are these perfectly spelled words all underlined? Why am i getting i when I want I? Why do apostrophes no longer appear? I’m sorry, Apple, but you are battering some of us with far too much. Most people neither want nor need these levels of “exras” (notice how it hasnt corrected either “extras” or put the apostrophe in hasnt”. What is going on. I’ve loved being with Apple - on phone and iPad, but this latest update is a mess and I’m going to have to re think (!) my allegience .

Why did you copy and pasted someone else's post?

I can’t add a new event to my calendar in the usual way since the 18.1.1 so called “update”. I have heard of others with this same issue. I’m sorry for the person that wasted their time at the “genius bar”, I did that twice before but never again. I’m sure there isn’t a “genius” in the whole bunch! Why is Apple so cocky as to call these non-repair sites a “Genius Bar”? I am having issues withe the phone and I do not plan to go to the brick and mortar so called Genius Bar. I dropped AppleCare with this phone and purchased a plan through my Internet provider. I’ll see if there is anyone more qualified there than at the “Genius Bar”. Wish me luck! 😊

Good luck, you’ll need it at a carrier. I’ve never been a carrier’s retail store and had them fix something. In fact several times the store personnel have broken them forcing me to spend hours on the phone with Apple Support. So, yes, I truly do wish you luck. 😀

Help. HELP. Help. APPLE is non-responsive on problems with 18.1.1 Update. My calendar is not searchable. My voicemails are gone. My battery is heating up during charging. This has to be fixed. This is the worst of the worst updates. So many parts of the phone not working properly. APPLE - what are you doing? Leave the formatting alone. And to add to the problems - after the update - had over 30 calls come in from spammers and unknowns - How do we get APPLE to withdraw 18.1.1 and/or fix these problem
