Bug with swapping bluetooth listening devices with iTunes
Before you or any other self-proclaimed "experts" or Apple support staff answer this question, please please please do not suggest to close and restart iTunes or shut down and restart the PC. That is not a solution, that is a major inconvenience and an absolute pain in the neck. Every single answer to this issue I've found online says to either restart iTunes or PC with no other possible fix ever mentioned. This is absolutely insane in 2024.
That said, the issue is that whenever my Bluetooth earphones lose battery and I switch to another set of earphones, iTunes stops playing the current song, and is unable to play any other selected song, until I close the entire program down and restart it. This has been going on for years, with no change at all. Why is this still a major bug in 2024?
Is there ANY solution at all besides "shutting down iTunes" or "shutting down the PC"?
Changing the playback from "direct sound" to "windows audio", or vice versa, does absolutely nothing.
iTunes is completely up to date and does not need to be re-installed or updated at all. I have the current version.
Please do not suggest the above "solutions" that do not work. They do not work, they are not solutions, and it is unreasonable to expect iTunes users to do this because the program breaks every single time the audio output changes. Why does this happen? Why is there no solution at all yet?
