Unable to share iTunes library on Windows 11 PC with Apple TV+ app installed.

Windows 11 PC with iTunes 12.13.4.4 installed. Received popup that movies moved to Apple TV app. Installed Apple TV app. Sharing pane in iTunes Preferences disappeared! Movies and videos no longer available to play in iTunes! Apple TV+ app automatically pointed to iTunes library but Media file content does not appear in Movies or Home Videos. No sharing option available in Apple TV app!. Can’t share iTunes library with other devices now!

Nope…, didn’t work. Note: Sharing worked fine on this computer before iTunes was updated. I uninstalled Apple TV app, opened iTunes, Sharing pane was back again, turned on Sharing but this source was not listed in Home Sharing on any device. My iTunes server operating on the previous version of iTunes still works. Won’t be updating that!

I in addition, after turning in Sharing iTunes started exhibiting bizarre behavior, asked me to Authorize the computer (again), informed me it was already Authorized and re-authorized it, then began randomly playing a movie with audio but scrambled video. Stopped it but it keeps restarting!

obviously Apple didn’t care enough to test this. People like me with a boat load of Apple and personal media too large to store on portable devices are gonna be ****** if Home Sharing stops working!

Pointing the media folder preference at a particular location won't make the app scan the folder for new content. That is a separate manual operation. I'll assume library sharing is yet another feature Apple haven't bothered to implement in the new suite for Windows. Uninstall the Apple TV app, and Apple Devices or Apple Music if you've installed those. iTunes will work properly again. You can view Apple TV content at https://tv.apple.com.

Reinstalled 12.13.3.2 from your links and we’re in business! Thank you VERY much! If you have anything to do with the rollout of the Apple TV or Music app updates for windows and they have Home Sharing imbedded I’d be happy to help teat them. I have 50+ year es experience.
