Older Versions of iTunes (posted by turingtest2) from 2020 to 2023/2024

I'm trying to find older versions of iTunes for Windows because the latest ones don't want to recognize any iPod or iPhone that I connect to my 64-bit Windows 11 (10.0.22631 build 22631) computer.

A while back, I remember seeing a post by turingtest2 with links to 32- and 64-bit versions of iTunes that, I believe, included those released in 2023 and going back to 2020 or 2019. (btw, I have a link to another of TT2's posts/replies, Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Wi… - Apple Community. That's *not* the one I'm looking for.)

Thank you, in advance, for your help.

This link takes you to the original list - Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Wi… - Apple Community - before forum changes made editing the page problematic. After that I started posting new links as Comments to the User Tip, which you will find if you keep scrolling all the way down. Ctrl-down arrow should get you to the end quickly.

Try Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash - Apple Community. That message may indicate a corrupt preference file. Explicitly opening the correct library by holding down shift as you launch iTunes usually works. You would ideally be using either the current release or the previous one. It may sometimes be necessary to restore an older version of your library from the Previous iTunes Libraries folder when going back to an older build.

Once you've fixed the library see iOS device not showing in iTunes for Windows - Apple Community if your iPhone won't show up.

Thank you. I ended up finding it. Now new problems begin. Can't even get the older version to work because of an itl file being created from a newer version. Is there an option for getting away from itunes altogether or are we stuck with it forever? I can't even get itunes to find my iphone 12. It's just so frustrating. If you're not an apple guy, it just seems there's no compatibility whatsoever between all these different itunes versions.
