Incorrect song info on John Prine's 'In Spite of Ourselves' album in iTunes

I downloaded John Prine's album "In Spite of Ourselves" from itunes quite some time ago and play it regularly. I only TODAY noticed that the song info (Title, etc.) for some songs do not match the mpeg that plays when it is selected. For example, the first song is labelled as "(We're Not) The Jet Set" but when I select that, "Dear John (I sent Your Saddle Home)" plays, instead. All of the songs that are supposed to be on the album are there and all of the info for the songs are there. It is just that the music does not correspond to the song info. in every case. I would like to download this again but 1) I do not want to pay again and 2) I would like to know that this has been corrected in whatever is now in the itunes store.

Thanks.

I know that I can do that but I was hoping to avoid that hassle (although it is really just a cut and paste exercise . . . for each field of each buggered song's info data).

I looked at the existing songs on the itunes store and they seemed to be OK. So I deleted the album from my account and bought the album again. DOH! Either the files that I downloaded were still not right or perhaps the old files on my end were not really deleted at some level that is not visible to me(?).

Alas, editing the song info is the only safe way to correct the song info (without purchasing the mp3s from Amazon).

Somewhere in the "utopian lobe" of my brain, I think that itunes would want to fix this problem (if it is not some weird bug on my end).

I'm done with my search for an "easy solution" and will just do the editing.

Well. It seems that my issue is now corrected. The newly downloaded files are, in fact, OK.

I also note that the format of the new audio files m4a instead of the older mp3.

So, it appears that the error in the old mp3 files was eliminated when the format change happened (I send my thanks to the format fairies).

As of now, all is well (except for the 9.99$ expense of buying the new version of the album).
