I needed to restore itunes on my Windows 11 PC and I used aa external backup of iTunes. Now all that shows in my itunes songs are my Apple purchases. Gone are my CD songs and all my playlists. I have tried all kinds of ways to overcome this and have failed.
Has the most recent version of iTunes implemented a radical change to the old design?

nope, all of your non purchase song should be in your my music folder on your computer.
