How do I Title the series in my Numbers charts?

How do I title the series in my charts? They keep showing as “untitled” and I can’t see nowhere where I can change that.

In a "category" chart such as a pie chart, Numbers gets the labels from a column defined as a Header Column.

Judging from your screenshot you appear not to have a Header Column.

You also seem to have a lot of merged cells, which might be causing a problem.

If you haven't done so already I suggest having a look at the built-in 'Charting Basics' template to see good working examples of charts and the tables used to generate them.
