2 tracks amongst many that won’t sync with my iPod

There are just (only) 2 tracks (amongst over 2000) in my iTunes Library that I can’t

sync with my iPod Classic.  The system keeps asking me to authorise my computer to play the tracks, but doing that doesn’t help.  I’ve tried numerous online suggestions without success, including changing my password.  I’ve tried deleting the tracks but can’t see an option to re-download them from the Store.  Is this because they’re still on my PC (Windows 11), albeit in the Recycle Bin?  I’d appreciate your advice.

Personally I'm not advising anyone to use the new suite of apps. Apple Music for Windows is not ideal for a serious music collector. If you remove Apple Music, Apple Devices, and Apple TV if installed, then iTunes returns to its former glory. Should you need to reinstall it this link provides the current build:

That's usually the correct approach, although it might be a problem if these tracks were bought prior to 2010 when there wouldn't be an automatic right to redownload. The fact that you have copies in the recycle bin doesn't matter. If needs be see Hide and unhide music, movies, TV shows, audiobooks, and books - Apple Support to unhide any hidden content and Redownload music - Apple Support to download it to local storage.

The 2 tracks were purchased in 2017 and 2018.

Following your advice, I reluctantly downloaded and transferred my music

to Apple Music – reluctantly, because some time ago I tried an iPod Touch but

found Apple Music very user-unfriendly and fortunately got a refund from the

shop where I had bought the iPod Touch.

I started with iTunes in 2010 with an iPod Classic, which involved transferring

vinyl, taking me over 5 months, and CDs, 48 hours.  Since then I’ve made numerous iTunes Store

purchases.  I still find Apple Music a nightmare for a classical music lover: e.g., it insists that Mahler’s 3rd

Symphony is “Electronic”, while “Baroque Favourites” are “Jazz”.  If iTunes is no longer an option, then Apple

Music would be OK, provided my vinyl and CDs are safe and its Store offerings are equivalent to the iTunes ones.

To cut a long story short, I’ve now got the 2 problematic tracks sorted on Apple Music, but now cannot see my iPod Classic there and cannot therefore do any syncing.  I’ve downloaded the Apple Devices app on my PC, but the iPod doesn’t show there either.  I'd appreciate your further wisdom. Regards
