Is MagSafe case covered by warranty?

My iPhone 16 MagSafe case has split at the action button. I’ve had MagSafe cases back since my iPhone 13 and never experienced it splitting or failing in any way before. Is this a common fault with the case where the action button is?

Can anyone advise if I can exchange it for a replacement? Feeling stung after only having used it for 3 months!

Many thanks in advance and apologies if I’m not posting in the right area it’s not been easy to navigate where to find an answer to my question and I love no where near an Apple Store to enquire there.

Most, but not all Apple products are covered with the standard one year warranty against manufacturing defects. It has been my experience that the Apple iPhone cases typically are not covered as it may be difficult to prove that any damage was not user caused. Regardless, you would need to have an Apple Technician inspect your case if you expect to get a replacement for free.

Thank you for the reply. On all honestly I dot mind purchasing a replacement but I’m concerned that with the placement of the break being over the action button it may be a flaw with the product so would be reluctant to part with another £49 if this is likely to happen again.

Is splitting in this place common and is it common after 3 months use?

Based on my experience here at the ASC, most folks that have issues with Apple cases, do so with their silicon ones. I personally do not use them, nor the MagSafe case (I only have a lowly iPhone SE) so I can't attest if these particular cases fall into the same category. For me, I really like the Snakehive cases, but I'm pretty sure they don't sell MagSafe versions.
