Issue with Restoring iPhone 12 Pro Max via iTunes and Apple Device Application

I am experiencing an issue with restoring my iPhone 12 Pro Max, which is locked due to a forgotten PIN code. To unlock it, I put the device into recovery mode and connected it to my PC via USB. However, I encountered several problems:

1 iTunes (version 12.13.4.4):

• • The device is not recognized by iTunes, although I can hear the connection sound, and the phone is visible in the Windows Device Manager.
  • I have reinstalled iTunes multiple times, updated USB drivers, and checked for updates on my PC (Windows 10 and Windows 11), but nothing worked.
  • The only partial success was with an older version of iTunes. However, during the recovery process, iTunes required an update. After updating, the device was no longer recognized again.

2 Apple Device Application:

• • Initially, this application also didn’t recognize the iPhone. The device started appearing only after I removed a driver for iPod.
  • However, the "Restore" button in the application does not work — clicking it does nothing.
  • On one occasion, the application suggested updating iOS before restoring. I began the update process, but it stopped halfway through because the device exited recovery mode on its own. Since then, neither updates nor restoration have been successful.

I’ve tried on both Windows 10 and Windows 11, but the result is the same.

Could you please advise how I can resolve this issue and successfully restore my device?
