Incredibly helpful suggestion. Thank you.
I had a similar idea after posting. May I ask what the group thinks of this: Use one of the small adapters you mention to connect from USB C port on Mac Mini to convert to USB A female.
Then connect the powered hub I already have to the Mac Mini. (The hub I have has 6 USB A ports.). This involves only buying one adapter, and as I replace the USB A devices I can start by using one of the 5 USB C / Thunderbolt ports on the Mac Mini. Any objections to that plan?
Further question please, is there a problem in connecting the USB A drive, that’s currently used for TIme Machine, to the hub which goes into the Mac Mini (I’m asking bc the Time Machine drive is currently directly into a USB A port on the old Mac Book Pro.)
One more query, please: I live in the UK. I love OWC devices but can’t get them in the UK. What brand of port available in the UK (using the USB C approach you mention) would you recommend?
