I have an old G Technology hard drive

I have an old G Technology hard drive that has a thunderbold mini display port that use to connect to my old 27in iMac(20214), I am trying to connect it to any pot (usb) to my Mac Air 15”. Any suggestions as to how to do that?

To be able to help you, we need to know the following:

  • The exact model of your MacBook Air.
  • You need to confirm whether your drive’s port is Thunderbolt 1/2 and not a Mini DisplayPort. Knowing the exact model of your G Technology drive will help. Note that they look physically identical. A Thunderbolt port should be marked with a lightning bolt symbol.
