Powerbeats Pro - right side consistently not working

I have a set of Powerbeats Pro about 6 months old. Consistently, the right earbud does not work. If I then do a hard reset, it starts to work again. But this happens *very* frequently (2-3 times per week). It happens no matter what device I have them paired with. I have cleaned the connection points in both the case and the earbud itself multiple times, doesn’t seem to impact anything. I’m thinking that at this point I should schedule an appointment with my local Apple Store (about 45 minutes away) but wondering if I should try anything else first?
