When I listening to my iPad with noise cancellation on, when I talk or cough my AirPods Pro 2 switches to conversations in the room. Then switches back to iPad to the program I am listening to. Do I have the configuration problem or is this how they are supposed to work?

When you start talking while you're wearing your AirPods, Conversation Awareness seamlessly lowers your media volume and enhances voices in front of you. When your conversation ends, Conversation Awareness automatically turns up the volume and brings you back to your original noise-control setting. You can also end a conversation manually by pressing and holding on the AirPods stem or swiping up on the stem.
I see what’s happening. The AirPods switch to transparency mode then I have to push the volume button and it switches back to noise cancellation.
