Sequoia 15.2 ethernet connection stops working

Mac Studio running 15.2 and suddenly my internet stops working. In System Settings, Ethernet still shows as connected. Restarting restores the internet for some time, but then it stops working again. Started in Safe Mode to see if that might clear the problem, and then restarted as normal again. Same problem. Tried disabling the firewall, but that does nothing. Anyone else having similar issues?

This took me two days of messing around with Sequoia on my Mac Mini 2024.

I’ve had Ethernet as my primary and Wi-Fi after that in service order, with Wi-Fi turned on.

Has worked for ages until 15.2!

Then Ethernet started constantly dropping.

Today I set Wi-Fi to off and now the Ethernet connection is stable at last!

GlobalProtect VPN is typically used in corporate environments where they allow employee, who are remote, to access the company's internal network.

Regardless of your use of it, most VPN clients have two modes of operation, known as "partial tunnel" or "full tunnel." When misconfigured, you get these types of errors where "all of a sudden" you can still access your local network, but not the Internet.

So ... good find, and solution to the issue you were having.
