How to sync all itunes playlists to iphone

I was able to sync all music from itunes to my new iphone 16 Pro, but no Playlists are included. How do I get all playlists sync'd from itunes to iphone?

iPhone 16 Pro, iOS 18

Playlists and Apple Music:

You need an Apple Music Subscription to play playlists between your devices. Be signed into the same Apple ID.

How will Apple Music get the playlists that are defined in itunes, especially since most of the songs are from CDs or family recordings? And the link provided looks like sharing playlists are from the iphone, not itunes, which is the only place where playlists are currently defined ... how does the iphone get the playlists?
