Screen mirroring from mac to tv - black screen

Hi,

I have an issue with screen mirroring from my Macbook Air M3 to LG C2. My 2 other MacBooks don't have any problems connecting to the TV. An attempt results in a black screen on the TV and a switched resolution on the computer for around 1 minute. After the connection stops, pops up a window saying "Could not connect to [TV's name]". While the connection lasts, all normal options for the second screen appear in settings, like a normal screen mirror. I can't figure out if the problem lies on the TV's or the computer's side. Both devices run on the latest updated versions.

I have no idea what to do, I will be grateful for any suggestions.

I'm having the exact same issue with my Mac mini to an LG webOS TV OLED65CXPUA. This has never happened before and I'm wondering if it has to do with the Sequoia upgrade as I haven't tried mirroring since a year ago. When attempting to mirror to the TV, the TV screen goes black and the OS renders the display on my Mac mini rather than on the TV. Then after a minute it says "Could not connect to [TV's name]" as noted above. I'm now really suspicious of there being a bug in Sequoia (I'm on 15.2, supposedly the latest)

I have since been able to successfully do screen mirroring from my wife's MacBook Pro to the same LG TV. This would seem to rule out issues with both screen mirroring and the new Sequoia OS. As far as I can figure, all this leaves is settings either on the individual device, e.g. my Mac mini or network settings that would somehow block the video stream. I say video because it seems that when I am trying the screen mirroring from my Mac mini, the sound makes it, but the screen is black. So this is somehow a video rendering issue. I have played around with different resolutions but to no avail.
