Emails go to 'details' instead of full message on MacBook Pro

my Mac book doesn't open a email I click on, it goes straight to "details".I see a quick flash of the message and without me doing anything it goes to further details stopping me reading what I call the email (or page 1)I have looked at the settings on "about this Mac" but can't find a fix.I am assuming that somewhere I have altered the settings but can't find the solution.

You can try quitting Mail and relaunch it holding the Shift key down—and compare your results.

Are you talking about All Header vs Default Headers (?)

You can customize the tool bar across the top— Control click to open . But I hardly doubt that is your issue exactly...

Protect Mail Activity

Hide IP address
