iPhone has been sending text to an account ending in Apple.com

My phone has been sending duplicate messages to known (both iMessage and SMS) and to an unknown account ending in Apple.com. In one instance iMessage was sending messages to 2 other known sources. In another instance, all texts to my niece were sent to Apple communities@apple.com (would need to double check spelling. I could not delete this account or remove it from my nieces ID on my iPhone. I

also can’t copy or change it? It’s not something you would normally notice. You can see it if you look at sent messages (if not already deleted). I read on Apple you can set up groups on iCloud, but not with SMS. but it showed no names listed in the cloud. Anyone with similar issues?
