My new iPhone won't recognise bluetooth accessories

I named my new iPhone the same as my old iPhone. When I transferred everything from the old iPhone to the new iPhone the names of Bluetooth devices did not transfer over; and the new iPhone was unable to find any of my Bluetooth devices. Is there an explanation for this?

Yes, your Bluetooth hardware address is used to pair to Bluetooth devices, so when you change hardware the address changes. You need to go through the pairing process over again for all of your devices.

See→Pair a third-party Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support, and note that some BT devices have a limited number of phones they can pair to at a time (as few as 1), so you may need to follow the device manufacturer’s instructions to factory reset each device.

Thanks for the answer. However, I tried to connect the new iPhone to my Bluetooth devices but it just kept scrolling and didn’t find any devices (and I put these devices in pairing mode). I hadn’t wiped my old iPhone so maybe that was why the new iPhone wouldn’t pick up and pair any of the same devices? (as the two iPhones were named the same?)

The ONLY way your new phone will find and pair with your Bluetooth devices (it doesn't make any difference if they were paired to your previous phone) is to put them pairing mode per the manufacturers directions to pair them.

Lawrence Finch provided a link which explains how to pair Bluetooth devices. Keep a copy of that. Every time you ever get a new iPhone, you will have to put your Bluetooth devices in pairing mode, then open Settings > Bluetooth > look for the Bluetooth device and tap it to pair. You will never get any device paired until you put it in pairing mode.

If you don't have the pamphlet which came with the Bluetooth Devices do an internet search on how to pair the device by the device name. The user guide for every Bluetooth device I own can be found online and the user guide will give you the directions on how to put in pairing mode.
