Find formula for a cell

The advice given does not work. If I double click on the cell where I want to see the formula, it does not appear at the bottom lower left. I it doesn't appear anywhere. This is really maddening since it is so easy in Excel. Apple needs to work up. In the meantime, how do I find the formula? Thank you.

Hi Ralph,

Click once on a cell that contains a formula. The formula appears at the bottom left of the Numbers window.

Click twice on a cell that contains a formula. That brings up the Formula Editor. The Formula Result appears at the bottom left of the Numbers window.

Drag the Formula Editor by the dot to the left of fx to move it to a more convenient place on the "canvas" (Sheet).

Numbers is not Excel and Excel is not Numbers!

Ian.
