My hide alerts isn’t working for group chat. I’m not sure what update it was or if it’s just a random glitch, but it hides alerts for individual chats. This started happening within the last month. I have an iPhone 14 and it is updated with 18.3 so it would be updated.

I did the iOS 18.3 update yesterday. Hide alerts is broke on any group chat that has a mix of iOS and Android users.
I was having this problem, then noticed one of the contacts in the chat had been given "Emergency Contact" status when I updated my phone. I removed this status and the alerts on this chat stopped.
18.3.2 initially fixed this for me but now started to get alerts again.
Same… it seems very random… sometimes it seems to be ‘working’ then once you get hopeful it isn’t working 😡
