OneDrive files showing old versions after macOS update

My parter updated his Mac to the latest iOS and all his businesses Excel files in One Drive are suddenly old versions. We have logged in on other computers. What has happened? How can we restore the versions? I don't understand how iOS update can be linked to this

files- stop asking for older version When I try to complete a document that I downloaded to my files and every time I open this file I get a prompt at the top of the screen saying “An older version of this document is available.” With a button to “show original”. The edits are the entire point of the file. I don't have any use for the “original”. Being constantly prompted to open an old, outdated document is not helpful. Most programs send you to your most recent document. Apple is doing the opposite of the rest of the industry. It is very frustrating to have to delete the prompt over and over. I have lost current data by clicking the wrong space accidentally. How do I disable this useless feature?

OneDrive sync problem on macOS Monterey 12.7.6 Dear All, I have a file sync problem in OneDrive on macOS Monterey 12.7.6. Despite making many attempts to fix it, such as: -restarting OneDrive, -resetting the application, -checking access permissions, -reinstalling the application, the problem persists. OneDrive does not sync files properly and does not update them in my account. Unfortunately, I cannot upgrade macOS to a newer version. Please help me solve the problem or point me to an older version of OneDrive that will be fully compatible with macOS Monterey 12.7.6. Thank you and I look forward to your reply. Greetings, Artur

Lightroom classic 2019 and Ventura 13.3.1 issues First of all, not being so computer savvy, I had no idea there would be a compatibility issue when I upgraded to Ventura. Apple system updates always encourage to the latest OS for security etc so I did it thinking I was doing what I was supposed to this year. I successful upgraded to Ventura on my 2018 Macbook Pro. On the first version upon upgrading I did not have any issues with Lightroom Classic 2019 and continued to use it for many months with no issues that I was aware of. Then recently I updated to 13.3.1 when the system prompted me for the update thinking it was good for security and bug fixes and then all the problems started. My Lightroom Classic screen sometimes flashes like crazy for like 10-30 seconds going into rapid flash until it stops. Needless to say it is extremely disruptive. Now I REALLY REGRET updating to Ventura. So now I want to roll back, even to the previous version of Ventura or Monterey. 1). Is there a way I can find out what version of Ventura or Monterey is saved in each of my Time Machine Updates. 2) If I revert back to an old version, is it as simple as choosing and saying RESTORE to that back up? 3) As I have updated images and files since the last back up, how do I reinstate the updated files after I have rolled back the operating system? Anyway, sorry for these newbie questions. I feel hopeless and overwhelmed by all this and also if there is someone I can take this to and pay to fix I would be happy to do so too.

It would almost certainly be better to ask Microsoft, or a Microsoft product support site such as https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive.

In addtion to iCloud macOS already incorporates native support for automatic file saving and versioning including a backup system (Time Machine), all of which make it nearly impossible to lose data. It should be a simple matter of restoring those newer versions with Time Machine. I don't know what Microsoft OneDrive does or how it works, so you will need to ask them.
