Is this Apple Approval Notice text message a scam?

Of course. Apple sends no such messages. Bad grammar. It's an Apple Account, not Apple iCloud id. Etc.

All you need to do is look at the sender to figure out it didn't come from Apple. @icloud.com is someone's personal account.

Looking up the phone number in a Google search also makes it incredibly obvious it's not from Apple.

My husband just got the same text. The sender is: *****@hotmail. That told me immediately that it was not from Apple

Bad move. While it momentarily feels good to ream these scammers out, you just confirmed a live contact. Expect to get more of these now.

It’s a scam. Block sender, mark as junk and delete.
