how to disable horizontal scrolling when using tables in numbers

When I use a table in numbers with only three columns how can I stop horizontal scrolling.

How do I freeze rows and columns in Numbers? This topic hasn’t come up in a while. I’m trying to freeze the first column in a Numbers document. I have checked “freeze header columns” but the column scrolls away just as it does when this selection is unchecked. Same thing with the header rows. Am I missing something? Does “header column” refer to my Column A or am I not understanding the terminology? Freezing rows and columns seems like a really basic thing to want to do; how could this not be a feature? If you only need a few columns and don't want the page to move, widen the page until the scroll bar disapears completely. The page may be wider than you would like but the page will not move involuntarily to the left while you work on your table.
