Transfer photos to portable USB drive

Please let me know a good brand and the number of GB for a USB portable flash drive to transfer 23K photos and 1K video clips from an iphone 14. Thank you.

If you intend to connect USB storage to your iPhone14, you'll need a suitable Lightning to USB Adapter. Highly recommend is the Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter:

This Adapter includes both a USB Type-A connection for the storage device - and a Lightning connection to which you can simultaneously connect your Power Adapter, this being essential. Your iPhone alone will otherwise may not be able to source sufficient power to operate the attached storage device.


As for the USB storage, to be recognised by iOS/iPadOS, the attached USB storage device must be formatted to FAT, FAT32, exFAT, APFS or HFS+ with a single partition. Microsoft NTFS and other proprietary device formatting are not supported.  If you choose a reputable mainstream brand, with sufficient capacity for your needs, you are unlikely to go wrong.
