Health - medications notifications not persistent

Starting with iOS 26, my Apple Health notifications regarding medications do not persist throughout the day.

I always kept my notifications hanging around without tapping "mark all as taken" so I am constantly reminded to take my meds whenever I take a look at them. Now the notifications disappear after some time, which makes it harder to track whether or not I did so.

I don't consider follow-up notifications to be sufficient in my case due to the nature of my medications, as the times at which I take them may vary wildly. Having a persistent notification was a huge boon.

How can I revert to the previous behaviour? Is it a bug? Maybe some switch in the setting that I missed?

Same issue here. I did just change the settings in the Health App > Notifications > Medications and turned on “Follow up reminders” which should notify again after 30 minutes - but no, they no longer stay persistent for me either since the update. Actual Notifications still shows Banners as “Persistent”, so looks like a buy they need to fix.

I've seen the same issue and finally got annoyed enough with it to go searching on Google and found this post. I've noticed is since I installed iOS 26. This has become enough of a problem for me that I've begun searching for a new application to track my medications, but haven't found one I like yet. I'm hoping that Apple fixes this soon. I just saw that iOS 26.1 came out, maybe they fixed it there?
