Never had any issues with my 16 pro max. Just got the 17 pro max and now with various apps the typing box is covered by default and I can't see what I'm typing. The only way around it is to switch keyboardsb with the little globe button. This happens almost every time I need to use a keyboard, but it's particularly frustrating with messenger and iMessage. Maybe it's something with iOS 26?

Apple really doesn't read these forum posts for feedback. You can provide feedback to Apple, but whatever issue you're having isn't universal nor affecting most other people. It still sounds like a zoom issue on your iPhone. Take three fingers and place them together and double tap your iPhone screen. See if things return to normal. If no, Force Restart your iPhone, which is completely different from a restart. Follow these directions --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Make sure you don't have any zoom features turned on.
I’m having the same issue. I almost screenshot it when I was “creating a user name” for this forum. I do see my typing in iMessages though. It’s more when I am filling out a form for a website. Name: as soon as I touch the area where I would type my name the screen drops down to a “white” screen and the form is covered and I can’t see it. I have to hit the check in the middle right of the screen to “close” the white screen to see the characters I have typed. APPLE PLEASE HELP

This is happening on my iPad as well. Driving me crazy
I'm having the exact same issue and is extremely frustrating. I'm wishing I hadn't bought the 17 pro. I restarted my phone and it's still happening.
I've been having the same issue. I contacted Apple support and they cannot fix it, but they were submitting a trouble ticket. I have yet to hear back from them. It is very frustrating.
